The early 2000s makeup trends were defined by a playful mix of bold experimentations anf frosted finishes. Shimmery pastel eyeshadows, often in baby blue or lavender, were a staple, paired with pencil thin eyebrows that were either sharply defined or barely there. Lip gloss was at its peak in the 2000s, with clear or glittery options being a staple in makeup bags. Often layered over frosted pink or nude lipsticks. Face makeup emphasized a glowing, dewy look with light bronzer and minimal blush, though contouring was rare. Smokey eyes, rimmed with heavy black eyeliner, became a night time favorite, contrasting with glittery, fun colors for day time. Metallics, mainly silver and gold, were also really popular, reflecting the era's love for futuristic and Y2K aesthetics. These trends, while nostalgic today, captured the early millennium spirits of vibrant self expression and unapologetic glam.
